MuseLock is a French point and click game (you can play in English or French), with a familiar tale: You wake up dazed and confused in unfamiliar surroundings, locked up in a room which is going to require more than just turning a door knob in order to escape.

Play MuseLock

Walkthrough:

1. Get the paper.
2. Check Garbage can for the can.
3. Go to the armchair and look at the left arm. There should be a very hard to see, but visible outline of a rectangle. Click the rectangle to open it and then grab the box.
4. Go to a spot where you can see the doormat and click on it to go to it. click it again to lift it and take the key.
5. Use the key by clicking it and then click on the keyhole. It should say door is unlocked. click the handle to open the door.
6. Go to the projector screen and click that panel (with the up and down arrows) that lets it go up and down. Make the screen go up and then click the rectangular outline next to the arrow keys. It will reveal a fuse. take it and then go back to where you could face the screen.
7. The control panel (the bottom rectangle coverd with glass) should be seen. click it to go to it and then select your paper. click the control panel, there should be a very faint brown half circle towards the center) to make a little funnel. Then click your orange juice and click the paper funnel. It will short circuit the fuse. The room will turn red
8. You should see a square with black dots on the panel. click the top right dot, the bottom left dot, middle dot, bottom right and then top left. then click the button with a lock on it. that will open up the glass over the short-out fuse.
9. Grab the short-out fuse (right panel) and select your box that you took from the chair. look at it in greater detail with the inspect item button. select your short-out fuse and then click the hole in the box. then take the key in the box.
10. Go under the desk and use the black key on the bomb. remove the cover and click a piece of the big white blob (C4) and then click the clip connected to the C4. then you can remove it.
11. take the projector cover from the square projector on the wall. The projector cover will have a red circle in the middle.
12. go to the glass diamond and place the C4 white blob piece that you took from the bomb and place it on the glass. go to the projector facing the glass diamond and place the projector cover on it. Go to the projector screen and place the fuse in the LEFT panel. then go to the floor projector and click the button that looks like a sun. The glass will explode and then the blue bulb can be taken. Grab it.
13. Go back to projector screen and take the fuse out (this is VERY IMPORTANT) grab the bulb and place it into the lamp on the desk.
14. go under the desk and place the big metal (gold) key where the bomb use to be.
15. go to the fuse box (spot-where you took the short out fuse) and place the working one into the slot on the left. go to the lamp and click the button on the base. the room will turn blue and then turn around to look at the paintings. Note that the paintings show symbols.
16. take the fuse out of the fuse slot and place it back into the up and down keyboard slot. click down and bring the projector screen down. take the projector cover from the projector and place it back to the one on the wall. press the sun on the wall projector and find the corresponding symbol. (if you got the pink square with a circle in the middle, that is number 8. If you got the pink square then it is number 4.) (Writing down the symbols on from the projector makes it easier.)
17. Make the projector screen rise and then go to the keypad. punch in your code. If the light turns green, then voila your free. You can exit through the door.

  10. To find the good fuse:
    There´s a box located at the left of the proyector (screen).
    That box has a hard to see division on it. In one side of the box you´ll see the arrows to move the screen up/down.
    In the OTHER side of the box there´s a little compartment.
    The fuse is inside.

  11. To create the funnel you need to click on the piece of paper located in your inventory then click in a little hole at the fuse box.
    The funnel is created automatically.
    If you can´t see the hole at the fuse box you can use your Tab key to navigate throw the places you can click.

  20. the symbols-pictures puzzle it's pretty easy:the coloured circle (for example) on a picture is the symbol with a circle witch has a line in it (that was in my case no. 1);if the picture shows a simple circle in a coloured square the symbol is the one with a circle in a square and an interrupted line in the square;the symbols aren't exactly the same with the pictures but if u look carefully you can see the common features between them!

  30. The code you see on the paintings changes each time you play the game, so that's not something I can post here.

    For all those of you having trouble getting to the keypad at the end of the game: if you attempted to put in a code too many times, the keypad's metal cover will close and you won't be able to access it. But fear not! If you go under the desk (in the same area where you found the bomb) you can see a tiny circular switch on the right side of the underside of the desk. Pushing that switch makes the metal plate retract and allows access to the keypad again.

    Also, for those of you who are having trouble connecting the orange wires inside the bomb: STOP TRYING TO DO IT. I'm not sure why that's in the walkthrough, but it is not something you should do, it is wrong. Once you've disconnected the wires from the plastic explosive, you should remove the box/bomb. All you need from that bomb is a piece of explosive and then to remove the wires from the explosive to deactivate it so you can remove the whole thing from the wall without killing yourself.

  36. The Sun button is at the very top in the middle of the projector, keep clicking the bomb until it dissapears in your inventory. I have been waiting forever for the glass structure containing the lightbulb to expolde. Does it normally take awhile? Also , if you look closely, you will see a small brown half circle in the bottom glass compartment, click the piece of paper and it will make a funnel. This wakthrough was hard to follow because of the spelling mistakes and the use of the word thing too much. If any one agrees put a * at the end of your comment.

  37. Walkthrough

    1. Get the paper.

  39. Okay, the walkthrough is really helpful, but the one thing i didnt understand was how you changed the symbol to another one to get its number, i dont know if anyone else had this problem :)

    But the solution is that on the projector facing the wall there are arrows on the top facing left and right, simply change the number, take a look at the symbol projected on the wall and if it corresponds to a symbol you have, take note of the number. Etc etc.

    A good game though! It's different to the others, you should be proud! :)

  51. Help, i got to the point where the C4 is placed on the glass structure. but the projector is not powering on.. it keeps saying the projector is not powered and most of the commands are broken. i am unable to complete the game.

  52. ok.. for everyone who is stuck on the code thing. you know the paintings and stuff.

    after you figure out what the code is from the paintings.. BEFORE you try to punch in the code on the little panel next to the door.. click the door and open it.. THEN go to the panel and put your code in.
    i swear it took me forever to figure that out because no site i went to was telling me that so i was so stuck.. and im thinking thats why everybody else is stuck on that part too. so i hope that helps everyone.

    oh yea and if your panel shuts.. just go and face the desk and then click to the left side of the drawers and there should be little button on the side of the desk.. underneath it. that'll open the panel back up for you.

    k well hope everyone figures it out. if i can do it anyone can haha.

  54. How do you translate the symbols into the numbers? The projector shows me a circle with a line through it, and the shapes on the paintings are square, square with two curved corners, circle, square.

    Tip for all:

    draw symbols from the paintings to the paper (really, not in the game) so you can remember them. Then if symbol number three from the projector matches your first symbol, your first codenumber is three. And so on, the code has four numbers like symbols from the paintings.

  58. Draw symbols what you see in paintings to paper so you can remember the symbols. After that look another symbols from the projector on the wall. And when you see same symbol from the projector as you have on your paper, that is your number.



    So if your panting number one and projector picture number seven is the same, then your first codenumber is seven.

    And so on, if your second painting and projector picture number three is the same, then your second codenumber is three.

    Find all four codenumbers like that and click them to the keypad next the door.

    There are four codenumbers because there are four paintings on the wall.

    There might be little different between paintingsymbols and projectorsymbols but they look allmost same.

  65. OK, here is the explanation some of you have been looking for regarding the 4 symbols. The key is that the symbols on the four paintings are solid images, but the symbols from the projector are line drawings. So, sketch out your 4 solid symbols and then start up the projector. For each projected image, see if you can find the outline of one or more of your 4 symbols in that image. (Sometimes there will be extra lines in the image but that's ok.) Then, if you can place one of those solid images over the projected image, and none of the extra lines show, (in other words, any extra lines fall inside of the solid image) then that is your match, and the current projector number is the number for that symbol. There will only be 4 projected images that will match your 4 solid images in this way. This is kind of confusing to explain, but I hope this helps.

  67. Thanks for this walkthrough but I'm stuck at instruction 8 - I keep pressing the black buttons in the order you say to do but it isn't working. I've tried clicking the lock symbol afterwards too, it just doesn't work - can anyone help and tell me where I'm going wrong please?

  68. Nice, but figuring out the symbols from the paintings was a b*tch. It's all about the outline of those symbols.
    And removing the bomb after disarming it takes care of the gas release and certain death.
    Don't use the key under the desk until you have removed the fuse as this will electrocute you.

  71. okay so im almost done and i think ive got all the symbols and pictures lined up but when i put my code in its wrong and it closes. how many numbers are in the code... does mine look even a little bit right: 14243447

  72. i FINALLY figured out the code!!!

    if you have already figured out the code from the symbols this is how you enter it:

    (1) you MUST open the door before entering your code
    (2) the code panel has three lights on it
    (3) if the exit door is not open the light to the left is red
    (4) after you open the exit door the middle light turns green and you can now enter your code
    (5) if your code is correct the light to the right will turn green and you can now walk through the door and win the game

    now that i've explained how to enter the code i'll go back and explain how to get the code:

    follow the walkthroughs and get the shapes from the projector with numbers 1-9... the shapes will be all wacky with triangles, circles, and squares.. i suggest you draw these shapes on a piece of paper.. after you draw them on paper color in the shapes that have a line through them...

    for exmaple if you have a square with a circle in the middle, but there's a line going through only the square part then shade in only the square part.... the shaded parts are what correspond to your code...

    it's complicated but you'll figure it out eventually.... this game is extremely difficult.

I've read and re-read all of the attempted and very nebulous explanations on how to find a code from looking at the painting symbols and the symbol projected on the wall and it is still an enigma...makes no sense whatsover. If you are unable to clearly explain a step in the walkthrough, then why place it in the game?

I have two fuses, one good one broken, I have moved the prjector cover until I'm blue in the face, and so which projector has to have the cover, and which button do I press. Does it all have to be done in a particular order?

  77. Obtaining the final code wasn't explained very well originally. What I finally figured out was, when you are using the wall projector to get the symbols on the projector screen-you have to get all 9 symbols! The wall projector has numbers 1-9. Start with 1, write down the corresponding symbol. Use the button on the wall projector to move to 2, write down the next symbol on the projector screen, etc. Keep doing this for all 9 numbers.

    Then, go back and look at the symbols on the paintings under the blue light. You can clearly see how they match the 9 shapes you just wrote down. (Well close enough anyway). Just get the 4 digit code by matching the painting symbols left to right.

    Then raise the projector screen, and use the keypad on the right that should be open. Enter the 4 digit code, and it should turn the light green and disable the red lasers in the doorway. (If you use the key on that door earlier in the game and click on the door, it will open but has red vertical laser beams. I am sure you will probably get in trouble if you try to go through the door with the laser beams still there!)

    Hope that helps clear up the ending code.

  81. i had the problem of entering the wrong code the first time, it says there is a switch somewhere, the switch as a little circle on the right side of the desk, when you go down to get the bomb you will see it, its close to the edge of the desk. I was really happy i found it because i didnt want to restart it again

  85. If the bomb makes green gas when you took the bulb, that means YOU DIDN'T TAKE THE BOX OFF THE WALL!!
    On the instruction 10 it says "then you can remove it", THAT MEANS YOU HAVE TO REMOVE IT!!

  86. Heres a hint, the little white box of death cant kill you if its in your pocket. Remove it from the wall before you grab the light. but make sure to disconnect the c4 from the rest of the box or kaboom
